MillionsToCrores.com is a free reference tool for converting between the Indian and international numbering systems. This page sets out what the site does, how far you should rely on it, and what we are and are not responsible for.
How the figures are produced
Every conversion on this site is computed with arbitrary-precision integer arithmetic. Floating-point numbers are never used, so results are digit-for-digit exact at any size up to 60 digits rather than rounded approximations. Where a compact unit form has to be shortened for display — "≈ 4.52 Crore" — the approximation is marked with the ≈ symbol.
The conversion engine is covered by an automated test suite, and the published pages are checked against a separately written implementation of the same arithmetic before release. That is a strong check, not a guarantee: it establishes that two independent implementations agree, not that both are free of every conceivable error.
No warranty of accuracy
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, that it will be error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
Verify before you rely on a figure
Do not use this site as your sole source for a number that carries consequences. Independently verify any figure before using it in a contract, cheque, tax return, financial statement, regulatory filing, tender, valuation, examination answer, published article or any other context where an error would matter.
This is ordinary caution for any free online tool, and it applies regardless of how the figure was produced.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal or other professional advice, and no professional relationship is created by your use of it. The site converts numbers between unit systems; it does not evaluate, recommend or advise on anything those numbers might represent.
If a decision depends on the amount, consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.
No currency conversion or exchange rates
This site does not convert currencies and does not use exchange rates of any kind. Where a page refers to rupees — for example "₹50 million in crores", or the "Rupees … Only" phrasing used on cheques — it is converting between unit names within a single currency. ₹50 million and ₹5 crore are the same amount of the same currency, written two ways.
No page here tells you what any amount is worth in another currency, and no figure on this site should be read as doing so.
Language and regional usage
Pages that give figures in Hindi, Hinglish or Urdu reflect common everyday usage rather than any single official standard, and regional preferences differ. Indian English typically keeps counting in crore where Pakistani and Urdu usage moves on to arab and kharab; both are correct within their own convention. Where a number can be read more than one way, the site tries to show both.
Romanised Hindi spellings are chosen for recognition, not as a formal transliteration scheme.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage — including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, and any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this site, or your reliance on any figure or statement published on it.
Nothing here excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any link to a third-party site is provided for convenience. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.
Reporting an error
If you believe a figure on this site is wrong, please report it to contact@millionstocrores.com with the page address and the value you expected. Corrections are made as quickly as we can confirm them, and we would rather hear about a mistake than not.
